Original Composition | Client: Charity World | Agency: Journeyman Pictures
This short film for Charity World highlights the work the charity is doing in helping to bridge the discrepancy gap between India's constitutional commitment to open free access to education and the reality of the lack of infrastructure in poorer areas of the country.
In 2010, India amended their constitution to grant every child free education. However, many public schools are underfunded, leaving a problem of educational quality for India’s youth. Amar Dhull was inspired to set up CharityWorld to level up educational opportunities across India, opening the I.B. School in Rohtak. ‘Every child should be entitled to have the very basic facilities or infrastructure in a school’, says Amar. But this vision is challenged by underfunding and uneven access.
Our in-house composers worked collaboratively on the score, which ranges from atmospheric ambient music, through upbeat percussive sections, to an uplifting orchestral finale.
